ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIAL

From Plastic Bottles to Shorts

THE PROCESS

At SevenC's, we're passionate about sustainability and committed to reducing our environmental impact. That's why we use 100% recycled polyester and a blend of 92% recycled polyester and 8% spandex to make our shorts. Our shorts are made from recycled plastic bottles, which are collected and then processed into polyester fibers.

The process of turning plastic bottles into polyester fibers is fascinating. Firstly, the bottles are collected, sorted, and cleaned to remove any labels, caps, and impurities. The bottles are then chopped into small pieces and melted down into pellets. These pellets are then melted again and turned into a liquid, which is then extruded into a fiber. This fiber is then spun into yarn and woven into fabric, which is used to create our sustainable shorts.

Using recycled polyester has numerous benefits. Firstly, it reduces the amount of plastic waste that ends up in landfills and oceans. Secondly, it reduces the demand for virgin polyester, which is a petroleum-based material and has a high environmental impact. Finally, using recycled polyester reduces our carbon footprint, as it requires less energy to produce than virgin polyester.

By using recycled polyester to create our shorts, we're proud to be playing our part in reducing plastic waste and promoting a circular economy. As an Australian-based brand, we believe that sustainability is crucial to a better future for our planet, and we're dedicated to making a positive impact through every aspect of our business.
